Pack 446 has scheduled its Arrow of Light Ceremony for Saturday, January 15, 2011. This ceremony will mark the graduation of our boys from the ranks of Cub Scouts!
The ceremony will be held at about 3:30pm on the field next to Epiphany Lutheran Church late afternoon. We will not have a Pack picnic this year. Instead we will try to finish the ceremony early enough so that everyone can have time to go to dinner afterwards (either individually or as a group). The goal is to have the ceremony outside if weather permits, but room will be reserved inside the church for a contingency plan.
We are currently working towards scheduling Chief Ray to perform the ceremony for us once again.
We will need to complete the Arrow of Light form for EACH SCOUT and return them to Sally Deckard two (2) months before the event (we will revisit sometime prior to November).
When you have an opportunity, please read the attached Arrow of Light letter as this will provide some information about the ceremony.
In the coming months, we will need to decide if we want to have arrows made for our boys or if we would prefer to make our own. A link to the arrow color code has been provided and we can choose to do them as a den project next fall.
Contact information for Chief Ray and Sally is on the Arrow of Light form, and the email address is Sally.Deckard@lamons.com.
Let me know if you have any questions,
Regards,
Rick Hamlin
