About Pack 446
Cub Scout Pack 446 is an all-boy pack in West Pearland. Our membership is runs between 80-120 scouts in most years
We meet as a pack the last Thursday of the month from 7:00-8:00PM in the Silvercrest Elementary cafeteria during the school year. Meetings for 2020 will likely be held outdoors or virtually depending on Covid19 guidance. We have monthly activities throughout the year such as pinewood derby, rocket launch, raingutter regatta, scouting skills, character-building service projects, summer camps, and 2-3 family campouts per year. Like our Facebook page for upcoming event and to view pictures of recent activities.
New scouts are grouped into a “den” for activities, which consists of 5-10 boys of the same age. Dens typically meet twice per month to do fun, enriching activities and work on requirements to advance and earn awards.
Our scouts have a great scouting experience because we have adult volunteers to make things great and we’re looking for new volunteers to help us keep things great. The majority of our mom and dad volunteers had little to no scouting experience growing up, but do a great job with help from each other and the training resources at our disposal.
Annual Pack “Dues” help cover annual BSA membership dues, pack t-shirts for new members, scout handbooks, awards, activity supplies, and other costs for the program year (i.e. school year). After registration, your family will be emailed an electronic invoice with the balanced due to Pack 446. Pack Dues for 2020-2021 School Year:
K-4th grade: $120 + a 1-time $25 new member fee is the total due. The prorated fee paid during online registration fees is deducted from the balanced due to Pack 446. Dues are discounted to $60 for subsequent siblings (plus 1-time new member fee). Scouts have an opportunity to earn prizes and up to 50% reimbursement of fees with fall fundraiser participation!
5th graders (10 yrs old): $60 plus 1-time new member fee is the total due (i.e. any fee paid during online registration will be deducted) Uniform and optional program costs are not typically covered by annual pack dues.
